In the wake of releases by Mogwai, EitS, Eluvium and MONO it's very easy to miss the real gems of the Temporary Residence Travels in Constants series. For me the really good stuff is the likes of The Drift, At Right Angles and this one here. Christopher Flores is the most recent release in the series (Volume 23), and has crafted a wonderful piece of ambient-glitchtronica (oh yes!) that's just the right mix of enveloping and unnerving to keep you staring out that window all night. Drones and noises and a bit of Matthew Cooper-style piano noodling. A solid release from this Sonna alumnus.
