Joel Petersen is perhaps best known as the bassist for The Faint. This is the first of his five albums to date under his solo moniker, Broken Spindles. This is a more straight-up electronica affair, without the vocals of later releases but with all the sense of experimentation that only occasionally comes through in The Faint's material.
